YOU CAN MAKE A CHANGE
IN THE LIFE
OF ONE FAMILYTODAY
Refuge In Trouble Times (RITT) Community Development, Inc. started when RaSheed Ali Ward, oldest son of Brenda Paige-Ward whoome she raised legally (Stacy Ward-Hargrove, birth mother) was shot on June 17, 2010 with an AK-47 as he stood talking with his friends in the 4600 block of Terrace S in Birmingham, Alabama. He was shot as Keith Hilson and an unknown shooter argued. Once the shots were fired, RaSheed was hit accidentally by one of the stray bullets to his liver. Keith died on the scene, and RaSheed died later at UAB Hospital. One year later, on the anniversary of RaSheed's death, the Inivsible Body Bag/RITT was born.
